First-Gen Advocates is a student-led organization that uplifts, connects, and advocates for first-generation college students at Penn State. We work to create a welcoming community where first-gen students and their advocates feel seen, supported, and celebrated. By building connections, offering opportunities for growth, and partnering across campus, we help students take pride in their identity, and make lasting memories while reaching their goals.

We ensure that every member has access to academic and emotional support. We provide leadership programs that inspire and guide young minds towards a brighter future.

We actively organize and promote events that bring first-generation students together to build community, celebrate successes, and share resources. Our initiatives create spaces for connection, learning, and leadership,encouraging students to engage, grow, and thrive together.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
We prioritize the personal and professional growth of first-generation students by offering workshops, leadership opportunities, and skill-building programs. Our mission is to help students build confidence, strengthen their talents, and realize their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.
